Passkeys, social login, SSO - three new ways into your account

July 7, 2026 4 repos 58 commits

From fingerprint to enterprise SSO: three new ways to sign in to seven.io - plus a redesigned contacts experience with internal team notes.

Webapp

🆕 New

  • Log in with a passkey - Your password just became optional. Add a passkey (Face ID, fingerprint or hardware key) to your account and sign in without typing anything - phishing-resistant and faster than any password. Passkeys can be managed in your account settings, and a one-time prompt helps you set one up.
  • Sign in with Google, GitHub or Microsoft - One click instead of another password. Link your Google, GitHub or Microsoft account for social login - the login page even remembers which method you used last time.
  • Bring your own identity provider with SAML SSO - Your whole team signs in through your company's identity provider (Okta, Entra ID and friends). Configure SSO per email domain in the account settings, and new employees are onboarded the way your IT department likes it.
  • Redesigned contacts with team notes - Contacts now have a full detail page and a quick-preview panel, and conversations support internal notes with @-mentions - discuss a customer thread with your team without leaving the inbox.

🐛 Fixed

  • WhatsApp - Template sends now fail fast and surface errors instead of silently dropping messages.

API

🐛 Fixed

  • Delivery reports - Delivery report webhooks are no longer duplicated across the segments of a multi-part SMS.

Plugins & Integrations

✨ Improved

  • Choose which alarm events reach you - VdS 2465 alarm system integrations (e.g. Eimsig) now support a per-integration event type filter, so only the event categories you care about trigger notifications.

🐛 Fixed

  • Homebridge (GitHub) - The SMS accessory is registered under the correct plugin identifier again.
